VA-Varuste has successfully served boat manufacturers and private customers for over 50 years. Our customers include all major boat manufacturers in Finland and the Nordic countries. In addition, our products are also delivered to Central and Southern Europe. As Europe’s largest manufacturer of original boat canopies, our private customers get exactly the right high-quality canopy, made according to the original patterns and models to suit their own boat model.

50 years of experience
We have successfully served boat manufacturers and our private customers for over 50 years.
Two factories
Our headquarters are in Kuopio where we operate in modern facilities of over 2,700 m². We also have a factory in Poland to serve our customers Europe-wide. VA-Varuste Poland is located in Suwałki, with a new 2,400 m² factory opened in 2017. We already employ almost 200 textile professionals.
Modern, industrial methods
We can design boat canopies and cushions with high-tech 3D programming and with 3D-scanning. We digitalize the patterns and have the ability to cut them automatically with our cutting machines.
Efficient production
We make the products from start to finish in our own facilities – for example, our own metal department takes care of the canopy arches. Our highly efficient production ensures high-quality products and competitive prices.
Our customers include all major boat manufacturers in Finland and the Nordic countries.
In addition, our products are also delivered to Central and Southern Europe.

VA-Varuste Oy, the largest manufacturer of customized boat textiles in Europe, celebrated its 50th year in business in 2019.
1969
VA-Varuste was established
Initially, VA-Varuste manufactured tents, car covers and seat covers, and no boat products at all.
2006
Relocation to Siikaniemi
The early 2000s were the peak years for the boat industry, and with growing demand, VA-Varuste built its own factory on the shore of Lake Kallavesi in Siikaniemi, Kuopio.
2017
Opening of factory in Poland
VA-Varuste Poland now operates in modern 2,400 square metre facilities serving customers across Europe.

In Kuopio we employ nearly 60 textile professionals. Our factory, completed in 2006, creates excellent conditions for combining traditional craftsmanship with modern production methods. The factory is located on the beautiful shore of Lake Kallavesi in Siikaniemi, Kuopio.
