VA-Swing – Swivel Boat Seat That Adapts to the Situation
VA-Swing is a Finnish boat seat with a reversible backrest that allows the seating direction to be changed effortlessly. The seat is designed in Finland and is standard equipment on several domestic boat brands.
The VA-Swing backrest swivels both ways, so the seating direction can be changed as needed – a significant advantage especially for fishing and social boating. The thigh support and backrest adjust without hand screws or levers, making adjustments quick even while underway.
Durable and Lightweight Construction
The seat frame is made from stainless steel and aluminium parts. This combination is durable, lightweight and corrosion-resistant – designed to withstand Nordic boating conditions. The single-seat version weighs just 15 kg without pedestal.
Dimensions
VA-Swing height: 520 mm, width: 480 mm, depth: 500–595 mm depending on thigh support position. Backrest height: 430 mm. The seat is available in both single-seat and double-seat versions.
Materials and Colour Options
The upholstery is durable synthetic leather or PVC. Colour options include Beige & Carbon and Macadamia & Carbon Fibre. The seat is compatible with most standard seat pedestals and slides.
The front edge flips up, providing sturdy support in a standing driving position. This feature is particularly useful when navigating and driving at low speed.
Accessories
A protective cover is available for the VA-Swing, protecting the seat from dirt, debris and UV radiation. Seat pedestals and swivel plates are available separately in the VA Boat Seats range. Installation instructions are included with the product.
VA-Swing boat seats are manufactured in Finland and delivered throughout Finland and Europe from the VA-Varuste online shop.

If you do not know the exact brand and model year of your boat, we will need your old canopy for inspection before we can start making a new one.
The positions of edge fasteners can vary between individual boats. Especially in older boats manufactured in the 1990s or earlier, the risk of differences is greater. For these older models, we need the old canopy at the final stage of the manufacturing process to verify the fastener positions. For newer models, the risk of differences is smaller, but only by aligning the fasteners from the old canopy can we guarantee a perfect fit.
