Aquador 23 DC boat canopy

Aquador 23 DC boat canopy is a high-quality stock canopy, manufactured according to the standard pattern in a Finnish canopy workshop. Colour kapteenin sininen. Suitable for model years 2003-2022.

Compatibility and installation

This canopy is designed to fit the Aquador 23 DC. It fits the original frames and the canopy fasteners are in the positions specified in the pattern. Please note that the pattern positions may not necessarily correspond exactly to the fastener positions on the boat side, which is why the package includes a few spare fittings if it is necessary to move a fastener on the boat side. If the boat has any retrofitted accessories, we cannot guarantee the suitability of the canopy.

Materials and quality

The canopy fabric has been pre-treated at the fabric factory, so it is ready for use immediately. We use high-quality, UV-protected canopy fabrics designed to withstand Nordic weather conditions. The fabric is waterproof and breathable, which prevents moisture from condensing under the canopy. The canopies are custom-made in Finland from high-quality materials.

Package contents

The stock canopy does not include frames, a canopy protection hood or installation accessories. The frames and fasteners needed for the canopy can be found separately in the canopy accessories section.

The WIN code (Watercraft Identification Number) reveals when, where and by whom a boat was built. The system has been in use since 1998 as part of the EU Recreational Craft Directive.

Location on the boat

The WIN code is located on the transom on the right side, just below the rubbing strake. On boats without a transom, it is on the right side of the stern.

Canopy frames

If your current canopy is made by VA-Varuste and you are ordering a replacement of the same model, the new canopy will fit your existing frames. You can continue to use your current frames if they are in good condition.

If the canopy frames are bent or broken, it is recommended to order new frames with the replacement canopy. Also, if you are not ordering the same model as your old canopy, you may need new frames. Additionally, if there is no certainty that the new canopy is the same model as your current one (e.g. the current canopy is not made by VA-Varuste), new frames are recommended.

Canopy frames are manufactured from stainless steel tube or aluminium, depending on the canopy model. Tube thickness also depends on the model; the most common sizes are Ø18 (with plastic fittings), Ø20, and Ø25mm (with stainless steel fittings).

The canopy fabric is always premium Sunbrella Plus. All colours are the same price.

You can choose from 3 colour options that affect the edge binding, reinforcements, sewing thread and zipper colours.
